Terms of sale
These terms apply to every order placed with ALTA PEPTIDES LTD through altapeptides.co.uk.
1. Who we are
ALTA PEPTIDES LTD, trading as ALTA PEPTIDES, England and Wales. Contact: support@altapeptides.co.uk.
2. What we sell
Laboratory reagents: synthetic peptides in lyophilised form, diluents and laboratory consumables. Every product is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and analytical use. Nothing we sell is a medicine, a medical device, a food, a supplement or a cosmetic, and nothing is supplied for human or veterinary use, consumption, or application of any kind.
3. Eligibility
By ordering you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you are purchasing for research use in a professional or private laboratory context, that you are not purchasing for human or animal consumption or for resale as a consumer product, and that you accept the research use policy. We may refuse or cancel any order where these confirmations appear untrue, including where correspondence indicates an intended use other than research.
4. Orders and payment
An order is accepted when we dispatch it. Prices include VAT at the applicable rate. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not see or store card numbers. Bank-transfer orders are reserved for 3 days and cancelled if unpaid. We may cancel and refund any order at our discretion before dispatch.
5. Delivery
UK mainland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same working day by Royal Mail Tracked 24; otherwise the next working day. Delivery charges are shown at checkout. Risk passes on delivery. Temperature-sensitive items are shipped with insulation; delays in transit outside our control are not grounds for a claim unless the product arrives damaged.
6. Returns and refunds
Sealed, undamaged products may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund, at your cost, provided the seal and the lot label are intact. Opened, punctured or reconstituted vials cannot be returned. Damaged or incorrect items are replaced or refunded at our cost once reported within 48 hours of delivery with photographs. See returns.
7. Product information
Descriptions summarise published scientific literature for information only. They are not claims about any use of the product and not advice. We make no representation that any product is suitable for any purpose other than laboratory research. Certificates of analysis relate to the lot identified on them only.
8. Liability
We are liable for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for anything that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise our liability for any order is limited to the price paid for it. We are not liable for any loss arising from use of a product other than for laboratory research, which is prohibited by these terms.
9. Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where they apply.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
